Wind in my face

Hi all, I thought I would share with you an email and picture I just got from one of our new parrents.

Well it didn't take long for our new puppy to go from shy and timid to tenacious and bouncy! Oh we just love him and every day is so exciting. He struts around now with his tail up and his head held high. These pictures just don't do him justice. It's hard to capture him on film. I want to assure you that even though in one of the pics it shows Franky licking a leftover corn cob, we are sticking to a healthy diet and we don't usually ever give him table scraps. :)

Franky loves to sleep with us and is doing very well with housebreaking. One accident just today, and it was partly my fault. I gave him a bath and didn't take him outside after. He liked the bath, but he liked running around all wet even more! He loves his pet bed and keeps his toys buried in there. When he eats, he'll take one piece of kibble and walk way over to his bed and eat it. Then back into the next room for one more piece of kibble, etc. etc.

He sure is smart, and even more persistant. You must be a saint keeping all those little Yorkies. They are such a smart and stubborn breed, I'd be afraid that they would assemble and take over the household!

The cat is coming around. She likes to come out when Franky is sleeping and lay down a few feet away and stare at him. He has such quick movements I think that scares Sophie. But, there is less barking and hissing so we'll just be patient.

One thing Franky really enjoys is bike rides. We are avid bikers so I'm especially happy that Franky likes it too. My husband got me a pet cozy that I can carry the dog like a backpack only the pup is in front. Only his head sticks out and he likes the wind on his face. Of course he was nervous at first, but now he sees the pet cozy and can't wait to get in it. I know I probably look like the neighborhood dork riding around with my little dog, but who cares - we really have fun.

Well take care. Thank you again - and we'll keep in touch.

Tricia
